Itinerary Description

Day 0: Arrival, Tour Briefing and Resting

• You will be picked up from the airport in Nairobi ( Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) and be transferred to the booked hotel in Nairobi
• Get the safari general briefing from the prepared safari consultant/guide
• Dinner and overnight stay at your booked hotel in Nairobi

Day 1: Drive to Samburu National Park for a game drive

• Depart Nairobi in the morning for Samburu National Park reserve crossing the Equator and driving through changing terrain to the rugged semi-desert region in the northern Kenya
• Though harsh, it is blessed with species rarely found elsewhere
• Arrive in time for lunch at lodge
• After lunch have an afternoon game drive to search for the stars of Samburu
• Have dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sopa lodge

Day 2: Full day game drive in Samburu

• Have breakfast early in the morning and leave for a full day game drive at Samburu
• Search for the rare liver red reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Blue flanked Somali Ostrich, Vulturine Guinea Fowl, Longneck Gerenuk
• See braving lions on the grass, Cheetah, Leopards among plenty of other plains game
• Have an optional visits to Samburu villages if you wish too
• Have dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sopa lodge

Day 3: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive

• After an early breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park via Thompson falls arriving in time for lunch
• After lunch have an afternoon game drive at the Pink lake referred so for its thousands of pink flamingos and other bird-life
• It’s a Bird watchers paradise
• It has a surprisingly number of animals, all the “big five” except the elephant can be seen here
• Have dinner and overnight stay at Sarova lion Hill

Day 4: Drive to Maasai Mara for a game drive

• Breakfast at the lodge and with enroute game drive for Maasai Mara crossing the loita plains, see red clad maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains game
• Arrive Mara in time for lunch
• Have lunch and after lunch continue with an afternoon game drive until evening
• Drive to your booked hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5: Full day game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve

• Breakfast at lodge and leave with picnic lunches for a full day game drive inside the Park
• Search for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you and hyenas are plentiful
• Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape
• Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages for an insight to their culture if clients wish to
• Have dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa lodge

Day 6:  Nairobi to Entebbe

• Early morning game drive, breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving at around 1400 hours
• Lunch on own arrangements, transfer to the airport for flight to Entebbe
• Departing Nairobi at 1800 hours, met at Entebbe airport where our guides will be waiting for you
• Transfer to a hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay

Day 7: Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping

• Morning departure from Kampala for the south with stops at the craft village at the Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping
• After lunch at the Lakeview Hotel in Mbarara, proceed through the beautiful evergreen mountain country referred to as the “Little Switzerland”
• Arrive late evening for dinner and overnight stay at Bwindi Resort Camp

Day 8: Mountain Gorillas Trekking

• Later with picnic lunch, start 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas
• The tracking starts at the area where the gorillas were the previous day
• After a full day with the gorillas tracking, drive to your booked accommodations for dinner and overnight stay

Day 9: Transfer from Mbarara to Nairobi

• After an early breakfast later depart for Kampala
• Transit Time 8-10 hrs transfer to the airport for flight to Nairobi
• Arrive in Nairobi for good time for dinner and overnight stay there

Day 10: Drive from Nairobi to Ngorongoro for a game drive

• Depart from Nairobi via the morning shuttle bus to Arusha arriving in good time for lunch
• After lunch in the afternoon proceed to Ngorongoro, Game viewing enroute
• Have dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 11:  Full day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater

• Depart in the morning after breakfast with picnic lunch descending 2000ft by 4WD vehicles to the crater floor for a full day crater tour
• Search for the magnificent black-manned lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and plenty of other wild game exist in great concentration
• Break for a while to have picnic lunch at the crater
• Ascend back to Ngorongoro Sopa lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 12: Drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti

• After breakfast early in the morning have a morning game drive at Ngorongoro until afternoon
• Break for a while to have picnic lunch in the afternoon
• Then drive to Serengeti via Naabi Hill for a game drive
• Conduct a game drive at Serengeti until evening
• In the evening drive to your booked hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 13: Full day game drive at Serengeti National Park

• Morning and afternoon game inside the Park taking you to different parts of the park famous for the annual migration when millions of wildebeest and zebra set off for Maasai Mara in search of better grazing grounds and water, search for numerous plains game
• Have dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa Lodge

Day 14: Drive from Serengeti to Lake Manyara for a game drive

• Morning game viewing in Serengeti before breakfast
• Have breakfast and depart for Lake Manyara National Park arriving in good time for lunch at Lake Manyara Serena lodge
• Afternoon game viewing inside the park, look for a variety of wild game
• Have dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge

Day 15: Half day game drive at Manyara then drive to Arusha

• Have a morning breakfast at a lodge/hotel in Manyara
• After breakfast have a game drive at Manyara until afternoon
• Break for a while in the afternoon to have lunch
• After lunch drive heading to Arusha
• Arrive in Arusha in late evening
• You might have an optional Arusha town city tour if you wish too
• Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/lodge in Arusha
